Work that begins where you are.

Five ways to work together

Every place is at a different moment. Choose the engagement that fits yours. Most relationships begin with one and grow from there.

Experience Diagnostic

You have something — land, a vision, a development in progress — and a feeling that the experience dimension hasn't been fully realized yet. This is a rapid, focused assessment that reveals what your place is already saying, what it could be saying, and where the greatest experiential opportunity lies. We review your plans, visit or deeply study the site, and return a clear-eyed analysis with specific directions forward.

Who it’s for

You're early in development and want to make sure experience is baked in from the start — or if you're further along and something feels like it's missing but you can't name it yet.

What we make

  • A written diagnostic report

  • 5–7 key insights about your place's experiential potential

  • Prioritized opportunity areas with clear rationale

  • A framing of how experience drives value for your specific project

  • Recommended next steps

Field Workshop

Some of the most important creative work happens not in boardrooms or on screens, but outside in the open — where a different kind of thinking becomes available. YONDER Field Workshops are facilitated creative gatherings designed to surface the collective intelligence of a group. We work in the field itself: in a natural setting chosen for its capacity to shift perspective. Every workshop is custom-crafted to the group and the question at hand, grounded in prior research and stakeholder listening, and translates intuition into direction and imagination into tangible form.

Who it’s for

You are stewarding a place that needs a shared vision — or if you lead a team or organization that is stuck, misaligned, or ready for a genuinely different way of thinking together. Field Workshops serve place-based projects and organizations alike. You do not need a development in progress. You just need a question worth gathering around.

What we make

  •  A facilitated 1-3 day gathering, custom-designed for your group and question

  • Structured activities that translate dialogue into tangible directions

  • A comprehensive synthesis of concepts and patterns explored

  • Shared language and alignment your team can move from

  • Momentum that continues long after the workshop ends

Experience Strategy Sprint

This is on of our most-used engagements and one of the most valuable things we can do together. In a focused 3–5 week sprint we go deep on your place: its ecology, its story, its people, its potential. We map the key moments a visitor or guest will move through. We define the experiential pillars that make your place distinct. And we translate everything into a framework your whole team can build from.

Who it’s for

You're preparing for a design process, a capital raise, or a major programming decision and need a clear, compelling answer to the question: what will people actually feel here, and why does that matter?

What we make

  • Experiential vision — the core narrative of your place

  • Key moments map — the guest or visitor journey

  • Experiential pillars — what makes your place distinct

  • Initial concept directions — what the vision looks like in practice

  • A narrative your stakeholders can act on

Experience Masterplan

For projects that are ready to go deep. The Experience Masterplan is a comprehensive creative document that integrates experience across your entire place — spatially, programmatically, narratively. It maps the guest or visitor journey from first contact to last memory. It generates concept designs for key experiences, installations, and programs. It sequences how the place unfolds over time and across phases. This is the work we did for Vail Resorts across two mountain destinations. The Masterplan becomes the creative spine that guides every decision that follows.

Who it’s for

You have a complex, multi-zone place — a resort, a campus, a destination, a nature center — and you need a unified creative vision that can guide decisions across years of development.

What we make

  • Experiential vision and strategy

  • Full guest journey mapping

  • Spatial experience sequencing

  • Concept designs for key moments, installations, and programs

  • Phasing and implementation recommendations

  • Narrative frameworks for interpretation and storytelling

Experience Pilot

Some places learn best by doing. The Experience Pilot is for projects that want to test a concept in the real world before committing to full development — or for established destinations that want to activate something new, gather real visitor data, and iterate from experience rather than assumption. We design a live experience or program, help you run it, and capture what it teaches you. What lands. What surprises you. What your guests actually do when given the chance to engage with your place differently.

Who it’s for

You want proof of concept before a major capital commitment, or if you're an operating destination looking to introduce new programming and want a thoughtful creative partner to design and launch it with you.

What we make

  • Pilot experience design — concept, program, facilitation guide

  • On-site support during the pilot

  • Post-pilot insights report — what you learned and what it means

  • Recommendations for what comes next

Begin the Conversation

If you’re stewarding a place and sensing that something more is possible, we’d love to listen. Our work begins with conversation—understanding the land, the people, and what wants to emerge. Reach out to explore whether YONDER might be a good fit.
